Namaste. I’m Basanta Limbu — the person behind SIPNP (sipnp.com). Every calculator, every guide, and every late-night fix on this site is mine. This is a one-person project from Belbari, Koshi, Nepal. There is no “team” writing in the background. If something is helpful here, it’s because I built it; if something needs fixing, you can email me directly.
Who I am
I (Basanta Limbu) work in banking operations at a leading A-Class commercial bank in Nepal. I joined Nabil Bank on 11 August and still work there. Before that, I interned at NIC Asia Bank, Belbari Branch for a few months. Day-to-day, I see how customers actually ask about savings, deposits, and money decisions.
Alongside banking, I’ve spent years writing online, learning SEO, and building websites. That mix — finance from the desk, and tools from the keyboard — is why SIPNP exists. I’m not a licensed investment adviser. I’m a banker and builder who invests a portion of my own salary in Nepali SIPs and mutual funds, and who got tired of using Indian calculators that didn’t match Nepal’s reality.
Why I built SIPNP
When I started my own SIP journey a few years ago, almost every ‘SIP Calculator’ available online was ranked by Indian Investment Companies and Banks. Due to different currency contexts, different market norms, and formulas that didn’t always line up with exact Nepali fund statements.
I want tools grounded in Nepali, and by following SEBON-regulated mutual funds, NRB-style compounding for RD and FD, and the main thing is the exact returns that we are going to get in the future.
So I built SIPNP: free educational calculators and guides for Systematic Investment Plans and related planning. I also run related Nepal calculator projects (including my earlier SIPCalculatorNP.com and CalculatorNP.com). SIPNP is where I’m focusing on a cleaner, tool-rich experience for sipnp.com.

SIPNP.com is for education and estimation only. I do not manage money, execute trades, or recommend a specific fund as “best for you.” Markets can go down as well as up. Past or projected numbers are not guarantees. The information is collected from the issue managers’ sites, and the tutorials and information shared here are based on my knowledge. So, for major decisions, talk to a qualified adviser who knows your situation — and always read the scheme documents.
